At Amana, we believe a luxury bag is made to be worn, loved and passed on. When time begins to leave its mark, restoration can extend its story. This shared vision gave rise to our Parisian partnership with À LA MAIN, a house specialising in restoring luxury pieces.
Who is behind À la main?
À LA MAIN began with a Chanel bag that belonged to its founder Mathilde Mailles’ grandmother.
A piece full of memories that the original maison could unfortunately no longer take care of.
Mathilde then looked for artisans able to restore the bag while respecting its identity. This personal journey gradually became a true mission: offering a solution to owners of vintage or older pieces, or items simply too precious to replace.
Before creating À LA MAIN, Mathilde worked for major maisons such as Hermès and Chanel. There she discovered the precision of the artisan’s gesture, the demands of fine materials and the emotional value connecting each owner to their piece.
Tailored restoration
À LA MAIN works with a circle of specialised artisans: leatherworkers, cobblers, dyeing and leather-restoration experts and embroiderers. Each piece first undergoes a careful photo assessment, allowing a fully personalised quote to be prepared based on its condition and the work required. It is then diagnosed and entrusted to the most suitable artisan.

À LA MAIN offers personalised support in Paris, including collection of the piece from your home, a tailored assessment, direct follow-up with Mathilde and return to the client’s address.
Through this partnership, Amana Vintage and À LA MAIN bring their expertise together around a shared commitment: giving luxury pieces a longer life. Amana gives them a new story through the pre-owned market; À LA MAIN supports them when time calls for an artisan’s intervention.
